As a kid, Christian fell in love with the magic of special effects makeup. Mesmerized by its transformative power, he began applying makeup for theater and dance companies in Costa Rica before moving to New York City. There, he took some classes at The Art Students League while immersing himself in the world of beauty and fashion makeup. 

With a sharp eye and a knack for detail, Christian honed his craft by assisting a renowned celebrity makeup artist, Erin Parsons, and working backstage at top fashion shows, including Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Schiaparelli, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, and the CFDA Awards. 

His work has caught the attention of brands like L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York, Matrix, Lancôme, Sony Music, Macy’s, MTV Unplugged, and Ceremonia. He’s also collaborated with talents such as Debi Mazar, Laura Donnelly, Alicia Silverstone, and Coco Rocha.
